How do I pitch an idea?
Create an account and choose the Creator role (or switch to it in Settings). Then go to your Dashboard and click "New idea". Give your idea a title, write a description using the editor, pick a category and genre, and save it as a draft. When you're ready, hit Publish.
What is the difference between Creator, Critic, and Scout?
Creators pitch ideas. Critics browse, watch, and review ideas — their honest feedback shapes what gets noticed. Scouts can do everything a Critic can, plus privately shortlist ideas they are interested in. Creators get notified whenever a Scout shortlists their idea.
How do I change my role?
Go to Settings and use the role selector. You can switch between Critic and Creator freely. Scout access is reviewed by the Criticast team — use the "Become a Scout" section in Settings to request it.
Who can see my idea?
Published ideas are visible to everyone — including people who aren't logged in. However, guests only see a short preview. The full pitch is visible to signed-in members only.
What do the AI insights do?
On any idea page, Scouts and logged-in users can generate AI insights. These analyse the reviews left on your idea and produce a summary, key themes, sentiment, and a recommendation. Insights update each time new reviews are added.
What does it mean when a Scout shortlists my idea?
It means a Scout has privately saved your idea as one they are interested in. You will receive an email notification and an in-app notification when this happens. Shortlisting is private — only the Scout and you know about it.
Can I edit my idea after publishing?
Yes. You can edit a published idea at any time from the idea page or your Dashboard. The edit timestamp will be shown on the idea.
How do I delete my idea?
Only draft ideas can be deleted. Go to your Dashboard, find the draft, and use the delete option. Published ideas cannot currently be deleted — contact us if you need one removed.
I didn't receive my verification email. What do I do?
Check your spam folder first. If it's not there, go to Settings and click "Resend verification email". If you still don't receive it, contact us.
How do I sign in with Google or GitHub?
On the login page, click "Continue with Google" or "Continue with GitHub". On your first login, you'll be asked to pick a role. Your account is then created automatically — no password needed.
